This tall, slender Balinese statue depicts a woman or goddess in traditional attire carrying an elaborate ceremonial offering upon her head. The piece is expertly carved from a single block of tropical hardwood, demonstrating the refined craftsmanship and stylized anatomical forms characteristic of the Balinese woodcarving tradition that flourished in the mid-to-late 20th century.
