Vintage, Reservation Crafted, New In Box
A vintage Heritage Doll from Sunbell Corporation, part of the "Indian Tribes of the United States" series. These collectible figures were "Reservation Crafted" in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, hand-dressed and beaded by Oglala Sioux artisans. This specific figure depicts a Hopi Mudhead Dancer (Koyemsi), a significant figure in traditional ceremonial dances, known for their distinctive clay-like head appearance and ritual roles.
• Hand beaded and dressed by the Oglala Sioux Indians at Pine Ridge reservation
• Heritage Dolls collection, model 8-504
• Includes original educational pamphlet providing tribal history inside the box
• Box measures approximately 12.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide
Condition: New in original box with factory shrink-wrap still intact. The packaging shows visible shelf wear, including yellowing of the cardboard and minor crushing/dents at the corners. Shrink-wrap has some light scuffing and small age-related punctures. The figure remains secure on its original green plastic base and appears in original unplayed condition.
